What we offer
Recovery built
around you
At The Rec Pod, sessions are based on time, not treatment add-ons.
That means you're not being sold extras you don't need. We'll talk through what's going on, what you're comfortable with, and what will actually be useful on the day.
Some sessions might be mostly hands-on massage. Others might include dry needling, cupping, IASTM, red light therapy, compression boots, or sauna work.
Simple idea: book the time, and we'll use it properly.
Sports / Deep Tissue Massage
This is the core of what I do.
Hands-on treatment for tightness, soreness, restriction, and the general wear and tear that comes from training, sport, physical work, or just life.
Your session can be more focused and targeted, or more general depending on what you need. We'll work into the areas that need attention, adjust pressure as we go, and keep the treatment useful rather than just going through the motions.
Infrared Sauna
A private sauna session designed to help you slow down, sweat, and switch off.
The infrared sauna gives you quiet recovery time in your own space. It can be used on its own or alongside other treatments as part of a fuller recovery session.
Towels and water can be provided.
Red Light Therapy
Red light therapy is a simple, non-invasive recovery tool used as part of a wider recovery routine.
It can be used before or after hands-on work, or as a standalone option if you want something easy, quiet, and more relaxing.
Additional modalities
Tools we can use during your session
Dry Needling
Dry needling can be used for stubborn areas of muscle tightness or trigger-point style discomfort. It isn't for everyone - and that's completely fine. If you don't like needles, we won't use needles. Simple as that. Where it makes sense, it can be worked into your session alongside massage.
Cupping Therapy
Cupping uses suction to lift and decompress the tissue. It can be useful for areas that feel tight, restricted, or heavy, and is often combined with massage rather than used on its own. It may leave temporary marks, so we'll always talk that through first.
IASTM / Scraping
IASTM uses specialist tools to work over areas of tight, restricted, or stubborn soft tissue. It's not about battering the body for the sake of it. Used properly, it's another tool to help free things up and support better movement.
Compression Boots
Compression boots are a simple way to finish a session or recover after training. They apply pressure through the legs in cycles and are often used by runners, lifters, footballers, fighters, and anyone whose legs feel heavy after training or work. Good as a standalone recovery option or as part of a longer session.
